The Sultanate of Oman affirmed its firm commitment to protecting children and providing them with a safe environment, based on the principles of Islamic law and the Basic Statute of the State.

This came in a statement delivered by First Secretary Maitha AlIsaaiyah during the United Nations interactive dialogue on ending child labour.
