The Sultanate of Oman is closely following the developments in the governorates of Al Mahrah and Hadramout in Yemen. It values the efforts undertaken by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in coordination with the concerned parties, to reach peaceful solutions to address the situation in the two governorates.

Oman calls for avoiding escalation, returning to the political track and engaging in comprehensive political dialogue that includes all components of the Yemeni people. Such dialogue should lead to what serves their country’s future, to what reinforces security, stability and peace in the sisterly Republic of Yemen and to what upholds the policy of good neighbourliness.
