The Foreign Ministry has sent the sympathy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Government and people of the Republic of Iraq over a fire that broke out in a wedding hall in the town of Al Hamdaniya in northern Iraq.

More than 100 people were killed and 150 injured in the fire at a wedding party in Iraq’s Nineveh province.

The Foreign Ministry statement sent Oman’s sincere condolences to the families of the victims along with its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
